"Good morning"
This is a phrase that I usually utter under duress if required to do so too early - I am not a 'morning person' normally. However, the last two have been peaceful and full of gifts that are hard to ignore.
The picture below was taken yesterday morning before a storm moved in ; just a guy with his bag pipes playing to the Lake. No one else around for a bit (though the music did very quickly gather a crowd to him) making this a most amazing 'find' as I walked along the shores of Lake Michigan. I'm sure She enjoyed and appreciated his gift- I know I did :-)

a lone - unknown- Piper plays to Lake Michigan |
This morning - about an hour ago, in fact - our youngest puppy, Bentley, began whining in the kennel to be let out. This would have been just a little after 6am,a daily occurrence I rarely hear because my husband has traditionally been the morning guy. This morning I heard him and even woke up- wide awake. Whoda thunk it? So I came upstairs, let Bentley out (the older puppy, Cooper, looked up briefly but decided to stay abed lol) and made coffee. And for the last hour I've listened to birds chirp, drank coffee and leisurely read emails... its been lovely.
I am grateful for the morning gifts and the magic of lone bagpipers...
