Coming in right after a crazy summer is what is gearing up to be an equally nutso fall!
The schedule is hectic what with my son on Homecoming Court, my daughter moving out, taking care of my Mom for a few weeks after a knee replacement and doll orders to NOLA that are (thankfully!) non-stop.
This week is all about Applefest and my Mom's annual visit for it, complete with a booth in the art fair in what promises to be fairly brisk weather-- 50 degrees with wind and rain. Ahhhh--- the joy of outdoor art shows! That is a 3 day blitz of apple cider, sweaters, tourists, buses, pumpkins, and warm Irish Apple Cake. It will also hopefully include some lucrative sales to end my summer on a high financial note *fingers crossed*
Next week will entail the final preparations for my weekend jaunt down to NOLA for the Witches Ball-- still need to dye my shoes, decide on hair and make up and cash in the gazzillion or so rolled coins into a visa card!
As soon as I return I MUST coral my son and get his senior pictures done--no more excuses from either of us! We are a family of 'tomorrow people' (sounds much more forward thinking than proscratinators :-) )
In between this I'm setting up a weekly yoga class in Charlevoix to be taught by my bestest friend and all round amazing woman Jennifer Scott. That will get rolling in a week--hopefully!
Once November hits then its all about the Holidays-- Thanksgiving with my Brother and his Wife, Christmas with my Mom and --I'm hoping-- a quick trip to FLA to see my Dad who recently had a stroke.
January will see us back in New Orleans...
I plan on carving out the first week in November to DO NOTHING... or at least the laundry.
