Happy August! Today holds two significant meanings for me; 

1.) Its Lughnasadh (loo-nas-sa) (also called Lammas)- the Festival of the First Fruits. This is the first of the Harvest Holidays celebrated by some Pagans. The God Lugh is honored at this time as well with track and field style games and sporting events. You can read oodles more about the celebrations and meanings here . My personal observations have gone from huge community gatherings years ago to smaller family rites to now purely personal and solitary moments. The Wheel turns for us all-within and without

2.) Its the first day of my Blog-a-thon with Effy Wild. For 30 days quite a few of us are joining Effy in a blog a day -- the badge is on this page to the right and a bit down towards the bottom.

I can't promise you 30 days of awe-inspiring writing but you will all certainly get to know me LOL!
