Mid Week Mumblings

Happy Wednesday!
It is absolutely gorgeous fall weather here in the North and I am sitting in my pink-hued home drinking a lovely smoothie and thoroughly enjoying it. I can hear the wind blowing through the birch tree that shades my balcony and the dogs are sleeping in a puddle of sunshine at my feet- I am content.

The best thing about living here in the North is that the long winters insure the appreciation of sunlight and warmth -- the winters are gray and cold for the most part. The never ending gloom is , well- Gloomy! But for about 12 glorious weeks a year we have the most beautiful weather anywhere! Its hard to take it for granted when you know that in a month it will be gone :-)

I am smack dab in the middle of October orders to be shipped to New Orleans and that means 6 hour days in my studio. I am busy but blessed; I can make my own hours so long as I hit my deadlines for shipping. I can enjoy my own home, smell my garden from my open studio window and enjoy the cat's company as I craft and create dolls of The Llwa for a shop in the French Quarter. Soon I will be joining my creations; in 25 days I will fly out to Nola myself to meet friends for an elegant Witches Ball on St Charles Avenue.  I am so blessed and so grateful. Are there concerns and worries? Of course- its life! But I am thrilled with the life I live and have so much fun that the concerns are but a small part of it all.

Happy Wednesday -
Annie
